This photographic work by Tania Serket captures a dynamic, surreal figure. A massive, stylized matchstick forms the upper body, featuring a bold red tip and a textured, honeycomb-like strike plate. A vibrant, blurred orange element suggests a flame, while human legs in light blue trousers and dark shoes are depicted in mid-stride, creating a sense of energetic motion. The dark background emphasizes the figure's striking colors and unique composition. An associative composition in which the human figure and small everyday objects are combined in one frame using the double exposure method, testing the possibilities of form and color combinations to achieve an evocative expression. Photographed on film, scanned and printed on the highest quality archival paper Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 with a white border for easy framing.
