Lurking

Textile fiber · 2026

Within the waters of the Amazon Jungle, there lurks predatory creatures. They sit, they wait, and are often unseen. This stillness and tension parallels the techniques found in traditional basketry in order to create usable forms for the common household. Harding explores innovative and contemporary uses for this traditional and often overlooked crafting style, while elevating the mundane into a piece for contemplation. This work is a unique original work of art - Textile Art by Richard Harding (United States), Textile fiber on Wood. Its dimensions are 86.4x68.6 cm. The artist's signature is present on the artwork. This artwork is part of the gallery La Selva Amazónica. Materials: Wood · Original Listing: $1,411
