String Art · 2026

Richard Harding, a fiber artist based in Ashland, utilizes his passion for handcrafting to create thought-provoking works of art. Through his expert use of sewn twine, this piece is meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of fragility, bringing to light our diminishing coral reefs and the consequences of climate change. His soft sculptures serve as a powerful and visceral reminder of the damage being done to our planet. Each piece is part of a series that will ultimately join together to form a cohesive narrative on the urgent need to address these critical issues.
