The Conversation Between Generations

Printed · 2026

In the silent courtyard of a historic building in Guadalajara, a tattooed elder and a young boy face each other over a chessboard. Around them, the monumental architecture rises like a cathedral of memory, while the fountain quietly marks the passing of time. The image explores transmission — not only of knowledge, but of presence, patience, and humanity. Two generations meet in a suspended moment where strategy becomes dialogue, and silence speaks louder than words. Captured in black and white, the photograph transforms an ordinary encounter into a timeless scene about wisdom, childhood, and the invisible ties between people.
