Afterwork

Oil · 2026

Peter Duhaj's painting 'Afterwork' captures a figure from behind, their short blonde hair and bare skin illuminated against a muted grey background. Vivid, glossy royal blue paint cascades over the subject's head, ear, and shoulder, forming thick, deliberate drips that trace down the back and arm. The striking contrast between the cool, flowing paint and the warm, rendered skin creates a dynamic visual tension. A detailed floral tattoo adorns the left arm, adding another layer of intricate detail to this compelling portrait.
